Children & OM
Orofacial Myology in conjunction with pediatrians are an intregal part of the health care team for children. Thumb sucking, pacifier habits, nail biting,and allergic shiners (dark circles under the eyes), are just a few of the OM disorders CCOM address. These issues, if left untreated, can cause malformations in the growth and developmental patterns of children. Poor facial tone is a common problem associated with Down Syndrome. OM therapy strenghtens and trains these muscles. Visual perception of a child with an open rest posture vs. a closed mouth posture is tremendously different. It is wonderful that there are non-surgical options available to eliminate and correct these disorders.

Adults & OM
Orofacial myology therapy can work for people of all ages.
